CREATING COMMUNITY through Culture, Heritage & The Arts.
In 2010, The CHArt Society – Culture, Heritage & Art was established as a not for profit Society, with the Nova Scotia Joint Stocks Registry to provide public activities related to Culture, Heritage and the Arts. The organization is located in Maitland, Nova Scotia. In January of 2016, The CHArt Society was designated a Charitable Organization with Canada Revenue Agency.
a) To advance the public’s appreciation of the arts by producing public art, exhibitions, presentations and performance art events, and by providing a forum for qualified artists to exhibit, present or perform their artistic works though participation in such events.
b) To advance education by providing instructional seminars on topics related to the performing and visual arts to the public.
c) To provide a public amenity, by establishing and maintaining a community centre for public use: and
d) To undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the above charitable purposes.
