Our 2023 Operating Season:  May 20th - October 9, 2023

Gallery 215 is a seasonally operated gallery located in the historic Selma Schoolhouse. This lovingly restored building serves s as a beautiful backdrop to showcase Nova Scotia artists.

In 2023, the Gallery will enter its 18th season of operation when it opens on Saturday, May 20th. The Gallery will remain open to the general public until Thanksgiving Day, October 9.

Gallery 215 is a Maitland and District Development Association (MDDA) project. The MDDA restored the building and decided to offer it as a community-based art gallery, where the artists are not juried but accepted as space allows.

We are pleased to present professional and amateur artists who bring a range of artistic experiences to the gallery. Over the years, the number of artists we’ve represented has grown, and in 2023 we will be showcasing the work of ~30 Nova Scotian artists.

All artwork in the Gallery is for sale, and visitors will discover a wide range of sizes and subject matter within our walls.  In addition to our original fine art offerings, we have a small selection of matted art prints by a few of our gallery artists and a fantastic selection of art cards.

A portion of the proceeds of each sale goes to the Maitland & District Development Association (MDDA). The funds we raise contribute to the maintenance of Gallery 215 and support other MDDA initiatives, including the annual Maitland Winter Festival and the promotion of the shoreline.
