GALLERY MANAGER
2023 SUMMER STUDENT POSITION

The MDDA and Gallery 215 seek a Gallery Manager for our 2023 summer season. This exciting employment opportunity starts in May (or at the earliest convenience of the successful applicant) and runs until the end of August. This is a leadership position, and the successful candidate is expected to manage all aspects of Gallery operations under the guidance of the Board’s Gallery 215 Chairperson.

Candidates must be interested in visual arts, will preferably be enrolled in post-secondary education (although this is not a requirement), and must be between 15 and 30 years of age. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and a high level of attention to detail are required. Retail experience is considered an asset. Proficiency in using office software applications and social media platforms (such as Instagram and Facebook) is required. This position requires maturity and leadership to operate independently and in a supervisory role. Candidates must be fluent in English, and intermediate knowledge of French is considered an asset.

This position is non-permanent, working 35 hours a week for 14 weeks from May to August. Both the start and end dates are flexible. The wage is negotiable, depending on experience. Applicants must be prepared to work weekends.
